Which situation is more dangerous in case of braking ...front wheels locked or car with locked rear wheels?
Generally it is said that even if ur front wheels are locked car may be stable but with rear wheels locked it is not stable........why it is so?
if the front wheels are locked you cannot steer
Does the wheels affect a toy cart's efficiency?
the cart is on some really weak power source(mouse traps) and it needs to pull something almost 10x its mass. In this case, would the wheels of the cart be a factor? Say..The size of the wheels, would a smaller wheel be more efficient than a big wheel?
what about traction? would it be better to use heavy wheels or light weight wheels with very little contact? does it even matter at alll?
It definitely matters, you want a wheel that is large enough to get good traction but not so large that it causes unnecessary friction. This is a complicated question. You could set up a spreadsheet in Excel with all of the physics formulas for friction etc... and figure out exactly what size wheel is optimum for your purpose based on physics. Of course you also want the wheel to be structurally sound so that is a different matter. You want strong, lightweight material.
