I have a window slanted along the top that lets in too much sun. Ideas?
The window is straight across the bottom and straight up one side. It then slants half way down the other side and then goes straight down to the bottom.
I'd like shading, but the ability to have it open when the sun isn't shining in. the sun is very bright late in the day and I don't even want to be in that room.
It's above a door, so it's kind of high up. I can't figure out what to do.
The window is a trapezoid with another one next to it. I would like it to look nice and be functional. I see cellular shades as an option on a website. Anyone have any experience with those?
Try using a large piece of attractive cloth cut in the same shape as the window only a little larger. Attach the two top corners to the top corners of the window.
Now add a small attractive post to the side of the window so you can pull the fabric aside and onto the post in a swag style when the sun is not out, and drop it back into place when the sun is shining through the window.
Since it is high up you could use a yardstick or something similar to sweep the fabric onto the swag post and back down again.
Cute stencil ideas for a slanted wall in my bedroom?
I just painted my room a light blue and i wanted to put some stencils on this on part of my wall thats a slant from the top of my wall to the ceiling, its about 3 feet high and goes from one wall to the other the long way. I was thinking of using brown for the paint but im not sure what to stencil across it to add some color and design to my room. Any ideas please let me know thanks!
What about differently shaped and colored butterflies or maybe something like shooting stars? Something with movement, since you says it goes from one wall to the other. That will make them sweep their eyes over your whole room and kind of tie it all in. Try and match your bedding and decor to the colors you paint.
